Michael is joint Managing Partner of a global leadership development consultancy and until recently undertook a number of non-executive director appointments in the power and agriculture sectors. He chaired a Parish Council for many years, sat as a magistrate in the criminal and family courts, and was also Vice Chairman of the Sussex Eastern Bench. He was also a member of the Wealden District Council’s Standards Committee. Michael often chairs the East Sussex School Appeal Panel . He is an honorary fellow of the Association of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland , a Trustee of The Poppy Factory and also a Governor at St Catherine’s school in Bramley in Surrey.
Recreation: Grandchildren, dog walking, skiing and until recently farming a small holding with livestock.
Hulya is a qualified Psychologist and a fully trained, UKATA registered Psychotherapist. She has spent over two decades working as a researcher in the UK after completing her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Psychology before deciding to train in Psychotherapy which has been a life changing experience for her. Hulya has been working with clients since 2017, first through volunteering for a local charity called Care for the Carers (she’s still a volunteer for the CFTC Counselling team).
Hulya has over 20 years of experience in policy-oriented social research, with a strong statistical background through her academic studies and practical experience of working with many large-scale datasets. Over the years, she has managed a wide range of research projects with budgets varying from £20,000 to over £2 million. Hulya works as a Principal Researcher on a part-time basis alongside her psychotherapy work.
Alison has over 29 years’ experience within the Mental Health Field, many as a professionally qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse in acute, forensic and domiciliary care. Alison offers management and clinical supervision to a local school supporting local safeguarding (children) and Every Child Matters (2003) agenda.
Alison has her own business supporting people with dietary needs and focusing on how cognitive behavior therapy techniques addresses and supports healthy eating.
She is a registered Teacher with the NMC. Has been a highly active campaigner within the voluntary sector, was chairperson of Eastbourne Mind for over 10 years; promoting social inclusion within mental health and supporting the role of peer worker within the organisation.
Recreation – new Nanny and owner of 4 rehomed dogs all with their own character and needs. Loves socialising and walking.
